Hey, {{first_name | product-preneur}}!

Today’s +1% Revenue Win: Make the starting action so clear a distracted toddler would hit it.

These micro-wins work because they remove friction from the places where revenue is born… in the first 30 seconds.

Each one breaks down a super simple UX psychology move that gets more people to your first value moment.

I’m testing this new micro-format. One minute. One move. One percent. Tell me if you want more. 🔥

+1% Potion

Most early builders bury the one action that leads to revenue under cutsie layouts, secondary buttons, and “choose your own adventure” options.

The brain defaults to the path of least effort. Every extra choice feels like a grind, so users hesitate or leave forever. That’s Hick’s Law in action.

Quick win: Make one action unmistakable, so nobody can screw it up. Remove or deprioritize everything that competes with it.

Action today: Go to your homepage or onboarding screen and make the primary action the only colored button.

Cut choices. You’ll see more users start.

Let’s take a look. 👇

This tiny change beats all the “growth hacks”

When there is one obvious way to start, people actually start. When they start, they hit first value faster. And people who hit first value are the ones who upgrade, buy, and stick around.

More people start → more people hit first value → more conversions.

If you want a simple reference for moves like this, I updated the cheatsheet. Let me know what you think. I think it makes you sound smart whenever you need to explain the “why” behind your decisions.
